Funeral services for Adeline “Addie” Mae Helsper, infant daughter of Kenneth C. and Aimee (Wright) Helsper will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2016 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Addie passed away Friday, November 18, 2016 at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO.
Addie was born March 26, 2016 in Kansas City, MO with hypoplastic left heart syndrome. Adeline was brave and strong and fought hard all 7 1/2 months of her life. She will forever be our warrior princess.
She is survived by her parents, Kenneth and Aimee; maternal grandparents, Candee and David Wright, Lawrence; paternal grandparents, Sandi and Jerry Helsper, Newton, KS; uncle, Corey Helsper, Newton; aunt, Molly Law and husband, Alex, Lawrence; and cousin, Lucy Law, Lawrence.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her name to https://www.gofundme.com/support-the-fontan-blood-pump to help get funding for a Fontan heart pump for children with HLHS.
Sweet Adeline…oh how she was loved! She has the best mommy and daddy a little girl could ever have! Through every minute of everyday of her short 8 month life….she was loved! My deepest sympathy! This little lady dances and plays in Heaven and she smiles down on her family and thanks God for their love while she lived here on earth. I love you. Aunt Crystal
