David Ray Lauber

Funeral service for David Ray Lauber, 59, Eudora will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary – Eudora Chapel, a private family burial will follow. The family invites you to join them for a celebration of life that will take place at (Mark and Kim Lauber’s home) 2218 N. 1400 Rd. in Eudora at 4:00 p.m.

He passed away Saturday, August 20, 2016. David was born June 5, 1957 in Kansas City, KS the son of Leo “Doc” and Jean “Dusty” Lauber. He graduated from Eudora High School in 1975 and worked as a manufacturing supervisor for over 30 years.

He is survived by, Susan Grey-Lauber and their daughters Kathryn and Megan Lauber, Daughter Audrey Sadler; brothers, Mark (Kim), Chris, Rick, Tim and sister, Joy Lauber; one grandson, Leo Sadler, and 10 nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made in his name to the Prairie Park Nature Center – Lawrence and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

    David was a sociable and generous person with a love of the outdoors and a sense of humor to go with it. He will be missed. My condolences to his family and friends.

    Fond memories of David will remain with us forever. His sense of humor, generosity, love and respect of nature will be missed, as will his “secret spot” for finding morel mushrooms! May family and friends find peace in collective story telling and memories over the years.
