Harma Frank Krape

No formal services are planned for Harma F. Krape, 79, Lawrence. She passed away Saturday, November 19th, 2016 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Harma was born April 13, 1937 in Los Angeles, CA the daughter of Lester Emanual and Lorna (Hulstrom) Frank.

She graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in Los Angeles, CA. and worked for American Airlines

Harma married Darryl Krape June 8, 1960 at the US Military Academy, West Point, NY.

Harma was known for her great cooking, artistic skills, beautiful oil paintings, stained glass work, wood carving, collecting Native American paintings, and antiques.

She was always interested in learning something new. She was also well known as an animal lover and for her beautiful singing music.

She traveled with Darryl as an Army wife living in Büdingen, Germany, Fort Knox, KY, Fort Benning, GA, Philadelphia, PA, Baltimore, MD and Fort Leavenworth, KS, before settling in Lawrence.

Survivors include son, Charles “Tad” Russell Krape and wife Elizabeth, Gardner, KS; granddaughter, Mary Krape of Lenexa, KS,
and daughter, Kelly Ann Krape and husband Tom Anderson of Misson, KS.

She was preceded in death by her son, Courtney Krape; and sister Laine Burnell.

She will always be remembered by her family as a devoted loving wife and mother.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the Lawrence Humane Society in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary
