Helen Lorraine Grosdidier

Mass of Christian Burial for Helen Lorraine Grosdidier, 94, Eudora will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Eudora. Burial will follow at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery. Helen passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Medicalodges Eudora.

Helen was born October 29, 1920 in Cheyenne, WY the daughter of Carl B. and Mayme (Reilly) Taylor.

She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Eudora, Saint Theresa’s Society, and the Jolly Dozen Pinochle Club.

She was a department head at Weaver’s Department Store in Lawrence until she retired in 1989.

She married Gerald “Jay” Grosdidier on September 30, 1940 in Baileyville, KS. They had been married for 73 years. Jay preceded her in death March 21, 2014.

Survivors include her sons Kenneth (Connie Lovsky), and Don (Mary), and daughter-in-law Marilyn Lindeen (Bob), six grandchildren Chris (Fran), Steve, Matt, Jennifer (Miles Neiffer), Catherine, and Megan, six great-grandchildren Haley (Nate Ward), Claire, Zach, Noah, Karter, and Kaden, and two great-great grandchildren, Parker and Kaydence. She was also preceded in death by her son Ronnie,

A Rosary will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 with a visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. at the Warren McElwain Mortuary – Eudora Chapel in Eudora.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Holy Family Catholic Cemetery, Holy Family Catholic Church Building Fund or the Eudora Schools Foundation and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
