Mary L. Kilker

Memorial mass for Mary L. Kilker, 69, Lawrence will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 11, 2013 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Lawrence. She died Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Mary was born March 6, 1944 in Worthington, MN the daughter of Ralph W. and Geraldine R. (Gordan) Kilker.

She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, St. John Alter Society and Daughters of Isasbella. Mary was the housekeeper and cook at St. Lawrence Center and St. John for 25 years. She later worked at Presbyterian Manor for nine years.

She married Leo J. Nau on December 28, 1963 in Worthington, Minnesota. They had three children, one daughter, Laura L. Anderson, Lawrence; one son, Thomas J. (Cindy) Nau, both of Lawrence, father, Ralph, Worthington, MN; two sisters, Margaret and Carol, MN; six grandchildren, Patrick (Nicole) Anderson, Jennifer Anderson, Brianna Anderson, Jessica Nau, Christopher Nau, Katelyn Nau; two great grandchildren, Ceara and Tara Anderson. She was preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine Kilker and oldest son, Russell Nau.

The family will greet friends 9 a.m. one hour prior to the service on Friday at the Church.

    I worked with Mary for six years at the St. Lawrence Center. We had some great laughs over the years! She was a terrific person and I send my prayers to the family.
