May Louise Yurchak

**** A Memorial Visitation will be held for May Louise Norris Yurchak from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2017 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary – Eudora Chapel, Eudora, Kansas. ****

Graveside inurnment for May Louise Norris Yurchak, 72, of Eudora will be at the Riley Cemetery in Riley, Kansas at a later date. She passed away February 25, 2017 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
May was born June 12, 1944 in Riley, Kansas the daughter of Leroy and June (Oetinger) Norris. She graduated from Riley High School.
She was self-employed with a home daycare that she ran for a number of years.
She enjoyed cooking, reading, sewing and knitting. She was a past member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by her daughter, Julia (Mark) Martin, Manhattan, KS; son, Nick (Melody) Yurchak, Ottawa, KS, sister, Mary McKinney, Junction City, KS; four grandchildren, Mark Martin, Jr., Samantha Marie Yurchak, Nichole Joann Yurchak, and Leslie Sue Yurchak and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Memorials may be made in her name to the American Diabetes Association or to the Lawrence Humane Society and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

    Nick and Melody–Your Mom was such a nice lady. I knew her when I lived in Vermont Towers in Lawrence. She was such a loving and giving person. I will always have a warm spot in my heart and memory for May.
