Ramona “Mona” Pearl Samrow

Memorial services for Ramona “Mona” Pearl Samrow, 58, Eudora will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary–Eudora Chapel. Inurnment will follow at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Eudora. She passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Ramona was born June 25, 1957 in Fort Scott, Kansas the daughter of George Elmer and Maxine Louise (Westhusing) Van Dyke.

She graduated from Eudora High School in 1975. In 1975, she began her employment at Orthopedic Casting Laboratory; she worked there until 1989 when Orthopedic Casting Laboratory merged with Martin Worldwide to form M-Pact. She continued to work at M-Pact until she quit to be a stay-at-home mom.

She married Allen Samrow on January 4, 1991 in Eudora, Kansas. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include her two sons, Ryan Samrow and John Samrow both of Eudora; her mother Maxine Van Dyke of Eudora; four sisters, Pamela Louise Beebe of Gardner, Patricia Ann Campbell and husband, Steve of Eudora, Georgia Marie McGill and husband, Jim of Lawrence, Phyllis Younkin and husband Stacy of Eudora; three brothers, Michael Van Dyke and wife, Vicky of Baldwin City, Anthony “Tony” Charles Van Dyke of Paola, John Van Dyke and wife Kathy of Tonganoxie and twenty nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, George Elmer Van Dyke.

The family will greet friends an hour prior to the service at the Eudora Chapel on Saturday.
