Rolland Hueston

Funeral services for Rolland J. Hueston, 85, Eudora, KS will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Eudora Baptist Church, 525 W. 20th St. Eudora, KS. Burial will follow at Eudora Cemetery, Eudora, KS. He died Saturday, July 12, 2014 at his home.

Rolland was born February 23, 1929 in Arcadia, KS the son of Thomas “Mac” and Nellie (Mitchell) Hueston.

He served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

Rolland worked for US Industrial Chemical and later Koch Chemical, where he was office administrator and truck driver. He retired in 1995.

He was a member of the Eudora Baptist Church and had a passion for hot rods & fast cars.

He married Ida Verldean Gammill on July 3, 1959. They just celebrated their 55th Wedding Anniversary. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include one son, Steve Hueston of Springfield, MO; his twin brother, Raymond (Joyce) Hueston of Mapleton, KS; his brother-in-law, Rick (Brenda) Gammill of Lawrence, KS; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Kenneth Hueston, two sisters, LaVern Pressler and Maxine Hueston.

The family will greet friends from 1:30 p.m. until service time on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at the Eudora Baptist Church.

The family suggests memorials in his name to the Eudora Baptist Church Building Fund and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary- Eudora Chapel.

    Dean and family, we are sad to hear of Rolands passing. He fought long and hard and was such a good man. He will be missed and remembered by many. Both of you have been such a blessing to your family and have lived an exemplary life. God Bless you in your time of sorrow. We pray you will find comfort in the precious memories and knowing God welcomed him home where he will have no more pain or sorrow. Until you meet again May your memories sustain you.
