Entry: Hi Ken, Gwen & Bobby(sorry), I just want you to know how much your mom and dad meant to me. I felt such a loss when mom and dad called to tell me they had died. I am so glad they were together and that one did not have to grieve for the other. I know I had a hard time when I saw them last summer. Your mom was so excited to see me and your dad did manage a big hug for me! They were very special people in my life and I have had a huge flood of memories the last several days. They were like a bonus mom & dad to me with all the events we shared throughout my childhood and young adulthood. All the campouts, the Colo. trip, the get togethers at your house, etc. They were beyond compare in so many ways. I learned so much from them and they had a way of making me feel special and loved. Your mom's kindness and generous spirit will never leave me and your dad's bear-hugs and laughter will never be forgotten. They both gave so much of themselves to all who crossed their paths and I know having them in my life made me a better person. Even though I know they are in a better place and with the Lord I will from here on out have a certain emptiness in my heart knowing they are no longer here. I pray that God gives you all peace of mind and comfort in knowing that your mom and dad were loved and respected by so many people. Please take care and God bless you all. Love, Kat

Entry: I worked with Dale for many years at KU. What a great person and a great professor of EE. His interests were in teaching kids how to be good engineers and good citizens. A real gentleman. He will be missed.
