Richard E. Hain

1928 - 2012 

Richard E. Hain

Memorial service for Richard E. Hain, 83, Lawrence will be held at a later date.  Mr. Hain died December 22, 2012 at Brandon Woods.  

He was born on December 28, 1928 in Minneapolis, Minnesota the son of Edwin and Elizabeth (Jensen) Hain.
 
Richard served his country in the US Air Force.  He was employed by AT&T as a District Account Manager for 29 ½ years.  
 
He married Irene Faringer on February 28, 1981 in Kansas City, Missouri.  She survives at the home.
 
Other survivors include three daughters, Teresa Hain-Huey, Nevada, MO, Nancy Shockey, Olathe, KS, Janice Hain, Overland Park, KS; 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.

Entry: My father worked for the Santa Fe Railroad before he began to work for Northwestern Bell in Minneapolis. He was a District Manager at AT&T for just part of his 29 years with the company. He worked with the Long Lines Division while I was growing up. He had a fond love of American History. He loved his tools and did a lot of precise remodeling and carpentry work.
