Entry: The grandchildren of Alva Davidson would like to thank everyone for their well wishes. It's heart warming to know that Grandpa (Papa Dude) was so well loved.
We would also like to send our sincere appreciation to everyone at Warren-McElwain, especially Audrey,for everything they did to make Grandpa's service so perfect for him. He would have been so happy and proud of the military funeral service Audrey was able to help provide.
We will miss Grandpa, but we know he is in a better place now, with his wife and children.

Entry: Uncle Dude was my favorite uncle.As a child he would let me sit in his lap allowing me to steer the car while driving.He taught me how to hunt and the proper use of guns.What a better place the world would be if we had more people like him.

Entry: Uncle Dude was such a nice guy,I'm so glad he lived such a long and fulfilled life without pain. He and Aunt Dorothy were extra special to me as my brother and I went to stay with them quite often. I loved them both with all my heart. Glad he has now joined Aunt Dorothy in heaven. I'm sure there is great rejoicing there!

Entry: Very sorry to hear of your, and our lose. A.D. Davison was a wonderful and interesting individual. Uncle Dude and Aunt Dorothy were such a pleasure to be around, I delighted in visits to their beautiful home in Lawrence. They not only taught me things of the families past; they also had a delightful sense of humor. Our hearts and thoughts go out to all the family of this wonderful man, he had a fascinating life that was filled with history. Uncle Dude and our Aunt Dorothy will both be greatly missed.

Entry: We were saddened to hear of Uncle Dude's passing, but know he is in a better place and with his beloved Dorothy. My wife Carol (Stiver) Warden is his niece. Both Dude and Dorothy were two of the nicest people we knew and will be sorely missed. Sincere condolences to all their family.
