Deborah “Debbie” Burrous

Memorial services for Deborah “Debbie” Burrous, 58, De Soto, KS will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary – Eudora Chapel in Eudora, KS. Burial will follow at Eudora Cemetery. Debbie passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, KS.

Debbie was born on January 21, 1963 in Lawrence, KS the daughter of Vernie and Karen (Nunn) Young.

She worked for King Radio for a number of years. She loved to spend time with family, writing poetry and being outdoors.

She married David Burrous on October 1, 1982 in Eudora, KS. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include her mother, Karen Young, Kansas City, KS; daughter, Jamie Johnston, Eudora, KS; son, Jason (Heather) Burrous, Kansas City, KS; six grandchildren, Tucker Johnston, Faith, Hope, Grace Burrous, Aiden and Kane Wright. brother, Edward (Deborah) Young, Sedgwick, KS; and sister, Patricia (Richard) Jeffries, Kansas City, KS and many other family and friends.

Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Vernie Young on February 26, 2021.

Memorial contributions may be made in Debbie’s name to the family and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
