Eleonore Pavlyak

Funeral Mass for Eleonore Pavlyak, (96), of Lawrence, KS will be held at 10:30 am on Friday January 19 ^th 2024 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lawrence.

Eleonore passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at her home in “Oma’s House” of Bridge Haven Memory Care.

Eleonore was born on November 23, 1927 in Regensburg, Germany.  She is the daughter of Karl and Eleonore (Riedman) Klaempfl.

She was a beautician for several years in Falls Church, Virginia prior to retiring to Daytona Beach, Florida in 1979.  She moved to Lawrence, Kansas in 2016.

Her family called her Oma.  Her lifelong passions were bowling, slot machines, dark chocolate,  and cats; although she had more cat decorations and cat clothing than she actually had cats.

She was married to Michael Pavlyak of Binghamton, New York.

Survivors include her 3 grandchildren, Greg, Julie, & Laura, and 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Michael, loving friend Marlin, and son Kurt.

Memorial contributions may be made in Eleonore’s name to St. Jude’s Childrens and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
