A Memorial Service for Rickey Van Buren, 67, Lawrence, KS, will be held at 1:00 pm. on Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Rickey passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at his home.
Rickey was born on February 27, 1955, in Florence, KS, the son of Ronald G. and Delores (Yoakem) Van Buren.
He married Morleen Ellis on June 17, 1978, in Eldorado, KS, and she survives at the home.
Other survivors include his mother, Delores Van Buren; his children, Kyle (Melissa) Van Buren, Amanda Van Buren, and his siblings, Mark (Cindy) Van Buren, Pam (Randy) Blackwell, and Debbie (Quentin) Ensz.
Rickey was preceded in death by his father Ronald Van Buren.
Memorial contributions may be made in Rickey’s name to The American Heart Association and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
