Memorial services for Albert Eugene “Poolie” Crane, 64, Lawrence, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. He died at his home on Monday, October 26, 2009.
Mr. Crane was born May 13, 1945, in Lawrence, KS the son of Albert Fermer and Geraldine (Porter) Crane.
He attended Lawrence Public schools and had worked for the City of Lawrence and Kansas University.
Survivors include four sons, Richard Crane, New Orleans, LA, Michael Turner, Denver, CO, Albert Crane Jr., Lawrence, KS, and Gerald Wright; two daughters, Tunisia N. Crane and Victoria Crane, both of Lawrence, KS; two grandchildren; two sisters, Linda M. Turner and Marilyn Crane, both of Lawrence; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will greet friends after the service.
The family requests monetary donations be sent directly to Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 West 13th St., Lawrence, KS 66044.
