Graveside services for Allan D. Bryant, 81, Gardner, KS, will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Highland Park Cemetery in Kansas City, KS. He died on Monday, April 22, 2013 at Medicalodges Gardner.
Allan was born on July 26, 1931 in Pittsburg, KS the son of William C. “Pete” and Margaret H. (Flottman) Bryant.
He graduated from Wyandotte High School in Kansas City, KS in 1950. He then attended Kansas Teachers College in Emporia, UMKC, and the University of Kansas.
Allan was the studio director at KCMO TV in Kansas City, MO until his retirement. He formerly was a public broadcaster at KCUR-FM radio for the University of Missouri – Kansas City.
He was a member of Wyandotte #3 Masonic Blue Lodge, the 32nd Degree Scottish Rite, and a member of Symphonia Fraternity.
Local survivors include one second cousin, Larry (wife, Vernis) Flottman of Lawrence, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Marilyn Bryant.
