Alma Feldt

Memorial Service for Alma Frances (Selfe) Feldt, 93, Lawrence, will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Trinity Episcopal Church.  Inurnment will take place in Schererville, Indiana on July 13, 2009.  Mrs. Feldt died June 29, 2009 at Brandon Woods Retirement Community.

She was born on January 4, 1916 in Hudson, New York the daughter of Francis “Frank” and Elizabeth Watkins Selfe.

She grew up in Cement City, Michigan.

She graduated from the University of Michigan as a RN in Nursing.  While attending the University of Michigan, she met her husband, Gunnard, they married on August 31, 1937 in Angola, Indiana.  She later became a homemaker.

She was a life member of the Order of Eastern Star and Alumni of the University of Michigan.

Mr. Feldt preceded her in death in 1996.

Survivors include three daughters, Betty Berry, North Little Rock, Arkansas, Nancy Rathmann, Eugene, Oregon, Sally Cloar, Lawrence; one son, Jack, Kennesaw, Georgia; 10 grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Olga.

The family suggests memorial contributions in her name to the Lawrence Humane Society and sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
