Amanda Blanton

Memorial services for Amanda Dawn Rocha Blanton, 33, Lawrence will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. She died April 27, 2014 in Topeka.

Amanda was born on December 10, 1980 in Lawrence, KS the daughter of Jason E. Wilburn and Crystal Rae Rocha.

She was very active in her children’s lives and attended all of their sports activities.

She married Todd Blanton on July 1, 2003 in Topeka, KS.

Survivors include, her children, Taylor Blanton, Tre Blanton, Taj Blanton and husband, Todd Blanton, all of the home in Topeka; mother, Crystal Rocha and Reggie Shields (long time companion) Lawrence; brothers, Josh Rocha, Lenexa, Tylan Shields, Lawrence; maternal grandparents, Chris and Julie Matchett, Lawrence; great grandmother, Gayle Matchett, Lawrence; uncles, Edward Rocha, Salina; Mark and Angelique Rocha, Queens, New York, numerous nieces, nephews and half-siblings; father-in-law, Ron and Connie Blanton, Topeka; mother-in-law, Christine Zerger, Salina. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Steve G. Rocha and great grandparents, Fred and Vera Long.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made for the Blanton’s Children Education Fund and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
