Areta Alford Powell Meyer

Memorial services for Areta Dorothy Alford Powell Meyer, 91, Lawrence will be held in May.  She died Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Brandon Woods.  She willed her body to the KU Medical Center.

She was born on March 24, 1921 in Lawrence, KS the daughter of Fred S. and Dorothy (Rothwell) Alford.

She was a lifelong resident of Lawrence.

She retired from the University of Kansas Union in 1984.

Survivors include daughter, Taunya S. Reusch, and one son, Rex R. Powell, both of Lawrence.
