Services for Aubrey Webb Armer will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 8, 2015 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence. He passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015 at The Legacy in Topeka, KS.

Aubrey was born October 7, 1946 in Wewoka, OK the son of Horace Zerbert and Virgie Victoria (Ferguson) Armer

He served his country in the Army. He worked as a galvanizer and janitor.

He married Virginia Shockley on October 19, 1968 in Eudora, KS. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Lucinda Stoffer of Eudora, KS and Sandy Villegas of Topeka, KS; two sisters, Christeen Morrison of Oskaloosa, KS and Margie Flippo of Winfield, KS; four grandchildren, Melinda Carter, Cameron Carter, Shane Brooks, Stacie Brooks; three step-grandchildren, Benjamin Stoffer, Angela Keeton, Brandon Stoffer and one great-grandaughter, Genesee Carter. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Jean Boylan.

The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Alzheimer’s and Related Disorders or to the Wounded Warrior Project and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
