Barbara Nell Blevins

Barbara Nell Blevins, 73, of Lawrence, KS passed away May 12, 2021.

Barbara was born May 19, 1947 in Glendale, CA, daughter of Leslie Willard Blevins and Eleanor Louise Bunyan Blevins.

She graduated from Lawrence High School in 1965. Majoring in Accounting, she received a B.S. in Business from the University of Kansas. Barbara earned the title of CPA in 1998 and worked in public accounting until 2000, at which time she became Chief Financial Officer at Cottonwood Inc. in Lawrence until retiring in 2012.

Barbara enjoyed traveling, golfing, bicycling, piano, knitting, vegetable gardening, horses, but most of all she loved her dogs.
She was a member of KSCPA, AICPA, KU Alumni Association, Kansas Land Trust, Audubon of Kansas, Kansas Wildlife Federation, The Nature Conservancy, local and national humane societies.

No service will be held. The family suggests memorial contributions to be made in Barbara’s name in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044, to be distributed to Lawrence Humane Society and Wire Fox Terrier Rescue Midwest.
