Bettie Pettey

Funeral Services for Bettie Lou Dover – Pettey 74, Gardner, will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary – Eudora Chapel.  She died at the Medical Lodge of Gardner on March 23, 2012.

She was born March 11, 1938 in Norman, Oklahoma to Zachariah and Pearl Dover.

She married Kenneth Bryant in 1956 they later divorced after sixteen years of marriage.  She then married Victor Pettey in 1972; they later divorce after seventeen years of marriage.

Left to cherish her memory is her sons, Larry Bryant – Hays Ks, Jimmie Bryant- Lawrence Ks, Loyd Bryant-Eudora Ks, Billy Pettey Freeport, TX and one daughter, Debra Bryant Leavey- Sugar Land TX.  Siblings: Brother, Zachariah (Sonny), and three sisters Lorraine, Mary and Elizabeth. 17 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers: Lee, Joe, Alfred, Steve and three sisters: Naomi, Dorothy & Lavinia.

The family will greet friends from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the Warren-McElwain Mortuary – Eudora Chapel.
