Brian Paul Bouton

There are no formal services scheduled at this time for Brian Paul Bouton, 61, Tonganoxie, KS. Brian passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at his residence.

Brian was born on January 31, 1963, in Lawrence, KS, the son of Edwin H. And Agnes E. (Grindstaff) Bouton.

Survivors include his sister, Gail (Troy) Mailen, brother, Marc (Donita) Bouton, nephew, Nathanael Mailen, nieces, Sarah Mailen, Heather Bouton (Levi) Hubbell, and Haven Bouton (Nabil) AlOtaibi, and 3 great-nephews and 6 great- nieces.

Brian was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Anthony Mailen.

Brian graduated from Lawrence High School in 1981. He then started his career at the University of Kansas that spanned 40+ years, much of it working as a Safety & Security Supervisor with KU Public Safety. Following his retirement from Public Safety he returned to KU taking a position with Facilities Services Housekeeping. He considered all his co-workers his friends.

Brian enjoyed fishing and playing Pinochle with family. He was also an avid video gamer and Star Trek fan.

Brian was a long-time associate member of the Lawrence Fraternal Order of Police and a supporter of their Hunter Safety program.

Memorial contributions may be made in Brian’s name to Lawrence FOP Hunters Safety program and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13 ^th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
