The Memorial service for Brian T. McCall, 42, Baldwin City, KS will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Parsons Funeral home 307 N. Lincoln, Ellsworth, KS. Friends and family of all faiths are invited to join there and at 12:00 pm for lunch at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (basement) – 905 Stanberry St Ellsworth, Kansas.

Brian passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018 at his residence.

Brian was born July 17, 1975 in Osborn, Kansas, the son of David and Rita (Kruger) McCall. He started his school years in Tescott, KS, Big Piney, WY, Agate, CO, Emporia, KS, finally graduating from Arkansas City High School Class of ’93. He was a talented artist, since his childhood. Brian was featured in local art exhibits. He attended Cowley County Community College (CCCC) before moving to Denver Colorado. He lived there for twenty years, building countless friendships, working primarily as a handyman for various property management companies, and continued to create his art.

He also enjoyed music and played the guitar. He has written music as well. In 2015, following a shoulder injury, Brian returned to Kansas and lived in Wichita and Baldwin City while working to complete his Associates degree from CCCC then continued his studies at the University of Kansas, where he was working towards advanced degrees in history and philosophy. And of, course continuing his art and personal pursuit of knowledge beyond his required class studies.

Brian was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, his Aunt Lila Gwinner and Uncle Don Dumler.

Survivors include his parents, brother, Brent (Sarah) McCall, sisters, Danielle (Shawn) Fienhage, Mary Jane (German) Gomez, nieces, Jessie and Bailey Fienhage, Krisy and Nevea Gomez, nephews, Genesis and Angel Gomez, numerous beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and his dear friend Jennifer McNees and many more.

Brian was passionate about research and sought for answers in every book he could find.

Memorial Contributions may be made in his name to Heru – Behutet Oasis in Kansas City, KS and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, or in person at services at the Parson’s Funeral Home, Ellsworth, KS.
