A Memorial service for Carrie Mann Friend, 45, Lawrence, KS, will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Carrie passed away Monday, July 28, 2025, at her residence.
Carrie was born October 3, 1979, in Lawrence, KS, the daughter of Lita Bateson.
Survivors include her husband, John Friend, children, Echo Meuffels, Haley Mann, Rily Mann, Kaden Friend, siblings, Cassie (Michael) Messer, Jamie (Jacob) Frye, Brandon (Alyssa) Bateson, Shane Cale, Julie (James) Collins-Todd, granddaughter, Syrenadee Mann, numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lita Bateson, grandmother, Mina Hundley, and uncle, Jerry Bateson.
