Charlene Dee (Crady) Robinson Kornbrust

Funeral services for Charlene Dee (Crady) Robinson Kornbrust, 92. Lawrence, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 20, 2023, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Perry, KS. Charlene passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023.

She was born on September 17, 1930, in Kansas City, KS, the daughter of Thomas Martin and Berniece Helen (Dinsmore) Crady.

Charlene was a homemaker and worked at Hallmark Cards from 1964 – 1986. Prior to that she worked at First National Bank in Kansas City, KS.  At the age of 16 she worked for Bell Telephone.

She married Robert F. Robinson on May 14, 1949, in Kansas City, KS.  He passed away in 1987. She later married Hubert “Herb” V. Kornbrust on January 8, 1994, in Lawrence.  He passed away June 17, 2011.

Survivors include children, Nancy Lee (Bill) Tomlin, Terri Anne (Daniel) Pentlin, Sherry Lynn (Joe) Welter, Robert Danny Robinson, Scott (Sharolyn) Robinson, 12 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren.

Charlene was also preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Richard Dennis Glimpse.

The family will greet friends 2 – 4 p.m. Sunday, February 19, 2023, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.
