Cathy Louise (Phillips) O’Keefe

Memorial services for Cathy Louise (Phillips) O’Keefe, 72, Lawrence, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 2, 2024 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. The family will greet friends and hour prior to the service.  Cathy passed away Thursday, January 24, 2024, at Baldwin City Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Cathy was born on March 23, 1951 in Augusta, Georgia, the daughter of Chester Ray Phillips and Juanita May (Vantuyl) Phillips.

She was a Graduate Officer in Psychology at the University of Kansas and retired in 2018.

She married Leo Edward O’Keefe, Jr. on September 3, 1971 in Lawrence.  He preceded her in death on June 3, 2017.

Survivors include her son, Kyle Edward O’Keefe; daughter-in-law, Rachel Lynn O’Keefe; two grandchildren, LJ O’Keefe and Leo Easton O’Keefe; and her cat, Opossum.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Barbara Charles.
