Funeral services for Celia A. Crisp, 63, Lawrence will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. She passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Celia was born January 18, 1954 in Lawrence, KS the daughter of Donald and Faye (Roberts) Stewart.
She was a graduate of Lawrence High School. She worked as a Human Resource Benefits Assistant for Lawrence School District 497 from 2005 to 2017; retiring to help her daughters manage their business, BE Bookkeeping and Office Solutions. She also co-owned Shamrock Rose Jewelry business.
Celia was passionate about her family, especially her grandchildren and traveling with her family. She was a Disney Vacation Club Member, and enjoyed crafts and jewelry.
She married Richard Crisp June 3, 1972 in Lawrence, KS. They later divorced.
Survivors include her daughters, Heather (Dane) Bailey, Beth (Jared) Ellis; son, Brian Crisp, all of Lawrence; five grandchildren, Ethan Crisp, Natalie Crisp, Hudson Bailey, Reed Bailey, Easton Ellis; sister, Linda (Vince) Weeks; nieces and nephews, LeAnn Cook, Lindsey Sanchez, Violet Sanchez, Matthew Weeks, Megan Weeks, Tyler Weeks, Cameron Weeks and Zachary Weeks.
The family will greet friends at 1:30 p.m. until her service on Saturday at the mortuary.
Celia was an organ donor and saved the lives of three people with her donations.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her name to the Celia Crisp Foundation and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
