Clarence Stanley Buller, age 93, passed away peacefully May 4th, 2026, at Pioneer Ridge Nursing Home in Lawrence, Kansas. He was born to David and Lydia (Schmidt) Buller on a farm near Peabody, Kansas. He was one of nine siblings, all who have preceded him in death.
Clarence met his wife Martha (Holmes) while getting his PhD in Microbiology and later in Teaching at The University of Kansas. They married in 1960 and had 2 children, Jennifer and David. Martha passed away February 1st, 2020. Getting together with friends, colleagues, students from KU, family and neighbors was a highlight for Clarence. He and Martha had many cookouts, shrimp-boils and chili feeds in their backyard using grandma’s old cauldron for the cookpot! He and Martha were big Jayhawk fans too. Later in life he enjoyed sitting in the beautiful backyard he and Martha created together, watching all the birds. He will be solely missed here, but is home in Heaven with the Lord and his wife, parents, brothers and sisters. He is survived by many many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Life is scheduled for July 25th, 2026, at 1 p.m. at Warren-McElwain Mortuary Lawrence, KS. A private burial for family will follow.
