Cleo B. Yoder

Funeral services for Cleo B. Yoder, 92, Lawrence, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 26, 2018 at the Lawrence Free Methodist Church in Lawrence. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. She passed away Monday, October 22, 2018 at her home.

Cleo was born April 22, 1926, in Tallapoosa, MO, the daughter of Thomas B. and Pearl (Swaim) Hayes. She married Harley Jay Yoder on June 22, 1947, in Lawrence, KS. He preceded her in death August 28, 2009.

She was a member of the Lawrence Free Methodist Church for over 70 years.
When her sons were grown she went back to school at Kaw Valley Vocational Tech
and earned her LPN. She worked at Reed Medical Group in Lawrence for 10 years..

Survivors include her two sons, Stanley J. and Stephen K. and his wife Mary Yoder, Lawrence; seven grandchildren, Amy Johnson, Lori Jenicke, Andy Yoder, Heidi Yoder, Elizabeth Beadle, Janice Maddux, Lynn Stansberry, 17 great grandchildren; and a sister, Delaine Burnett, of Forsythe, MO. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Thomas G. Hayes, Delois G. Monroe and Mildred B. Young,

The family will greet friends from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, October 25, 2018 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Lawrence Free Methodist Church or Visiting Nurses Hospice Care and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
