Dale Hoobery

Funeral service for Dale Lee Hoobery, 63, Kansas City, KS will be held 11 a.m. Friday, June 25, 2010 at the Argentine Assembly of God Church in Kansas City, Kansas.  Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Kansas City, MO.    Mr. Hoobery died June 19, 2010 at Trinity Nursing & Rehab Center.  Moving from Johnson County he lived in Kansas City, Kansas for three years .  Prior to that he was a resident of Colorado for over twenty years.

He was born on March 11, 1947 in Kansas City, MO the son of Joseph J., Jr. and Joyce L. Raynor Hoobery.

Dale served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam a member of the 101st Airborne in Special Services.  He worked for several years as a Garage Door Service man at Raynor Garage Doors in Overland Park, Kansas.   He was a member of the Argentine Assembly of God Church.

He married Maleea Turner on December 7, 2003 in Roeland Park, KS.  She survives of the home.

Other survivors include his father, Joseph, Overland Park, KS; one daughter, Annette Horton, Oak Grove, MO; one step daughter, Charlee Hodgson, Mission, KS; four step sons, Joel Sapp, Independence, MO, Jeff Sapp, Gardner, KS, David Malicoat, Monett, MO, Scott Angle, Danbury, Connecticut; one sister, Dianna McElwain, Overland Park, KS; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce on January 2, 2009.

The family will greet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary- Eudora Chapel.  A visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
