Dale Robert Seele

Dale was born on August 29, 1961 in Lawrence, KS the son of Alfred “Bud” and Joann (Stan) Seele.

Dale was the Facility Maintenance Director at the Douglas County Community Health Facility for 24 years.

He married Dorothy Kaye Staus on September 8, 1984 in Lawrence. She preceded him in death January 31, 2014. He was also preceded in death by his father in 1975.

Survivors include his daughter, Shannon Anderson and husband Mitch, Lawrence, KS; son, Dale R. Seele, II, Lawrence; his mother, Joann Seele, Keenesburg, CO; and four grandchildren, Cody J. O’Mara and wife Megan, Emporia, Cailin C. O’Mara and Connor M. O’Mara, Lawrence, KS, and Courtney Anderson, Belleville, KS; two great-grandchildren, Lexi O’Mara and Kaylee O’Mara, Emporia, KS; two brothers, Mike Seele, Keenesburg, CO, John Seele, Bates Co., MO; and his mother-in-law, Evelyn Staus, Lawrence, KS.

The family suggests memorials in his name to Lawrence Humane Society and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
