Funeral services for Daniel Georgie, Sr., 85, Lawrence will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at the Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. He died April 22, 2010 at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
He was born to August 8, 1924 in Lawrence, Kansas the son of Charles and Rhoda (Simpson) Georgie.
He worked at a filling station in Lawrence prior to serving his country in the Army during World War II.
Survivors include a son, Daniel Georgie, Jr and two grandsons, Trent and Shawn and a sister, Lucille Vann all of Lawrence.
