Danny Folks

A Graveside Inurnment for Danny Folks, Longview, TX formerly of Eudora will be 3:00 pm, Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Eudora Cemetery in Eudora, KS followed by a Celebration of Life at the Eudora Recreation Center.  Danny passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2022, in Longview, TX.

Danny was born on June 16, 1947, in Lawrence, KS, the son of John and Nellie (Mohler) Folks. Danny was a Vietnam Veteran and he was very proud of that. He served from, July 1967 to November 1969 where he was honorably discharged after being injured. On November 21, 1968 he was joined in marriage to Linda K Kurtz where they shared 48 years of marriage until her passing in 2016.

Survivors include his children, Lisa (Frank) Powell and Vernon (Connie) Folks, brothers, Dennis and Dwight Folks, Grandchildren, Coty Stoneking (Jordin), Shelby Wall (Bryce) and Kylee Welch (Harold). Great-Grandchildren, Isla Stoneking, Josephine Wall, Laney, Zimmerly, Winston & Bennett Welch, along with many nieces and nephews.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Linda Folks.
