Dennis S. Czarnik

Services are pending for Dennis Czarnik, 78, Lawrence. Dennis passed away April 30, 2021 at his home.

Dennis was born on August 8, 1942 in Chicago, IL the son of Stanley Theodore and Marie Bernice (Kostka) Czarnik.

He retired from Lockheed Martin Corporation as a Pipe Line Technician Mechanic.

Those who knew Dennis knew he loved to make people laugh with his jokes. He loved to tell stories about his childhood, his brother, Donald, and the pranks they pulled. He was kind, generous, and needless to say, very stubborn. His smile melted your heart, and could light up the darkest room!

Survivors include his daughters, Christine Jo Herd (Sean Herd), Denise Mitchell (Nathan Mitchell), Marie Daniels (Patrick Mosher), Renee Boggs (Darin Boggs), and Kathryn Valles-Wallace (Daxton Valles-Wallace); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two nephews, Michael Czarnik (Julie Dunn) and Kevin Czarnik; and one great nephew.

His parents Stanley Czarnik and Marie Kostka, his brother, Donald Czarnik and wife Barbara Czarnik preceded him in death.

Memorial contributions may be made in Dennis’ name to Senior Resource Center for Douglas County and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13 ^th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
