Graveside services for Donald K. Culbertson, 86, Lawrence, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2022 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence. Donald passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at his home.
Donald was born on April 19, 1936, in Topeka, KS, the son of Jesse and Vera (Maxwell) Culbertson.
He owned and operated Don’s Super Oil in Lawrence.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, boating and cross-state biking.
He married Janice Smith on November 14, 1959, in Lawrence, KS. She preceded him in death on June 23, 2008.
Survivors include his daughter, Gayle Culbertson, his son, Carl Culbertson; four grandchildren, Jeremiah Ball, Willow Culbertson, Caroline (Gage) Culbertson all of Lawrence and Kathleen Culbertson of Colorado; two brothers, Dale (Dottie) Culbertson, Wichita, KS; Joe (Susan) Culbertson, Ness City, KS; his sister, Doris Hamilton of Lincoln, NE and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings.
Memorial contributions may be made in Donald’s name to Willow’s College Fund or to Douglas County Visiting Nurses and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13 th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
