Donna Marie Camper Johnson

Donna Marie Camper Johnson 79, Lawrence, KS, passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at her home.

No formal services are planned.

Donna was born on April 9, 1945, in Jefferson City, MO, the daughter of Donald M. Camper and Margaret Katherine (Bagby) Chandler.

Donna lived in the Kansas City metropolitan area for much of her life, working for Capitol Federal Savings. Donna moved to Wichita, Kansas in the late 1980s.  Donna lived her final years with her daughter Patti, in Lawrence, Kansas.

She was an Assistant Branch Manager at Intrust Bank until she retired in June of 2009.

Survivors include her son, Dwayne E. (Richele) Smith, daughter, Patricia “Patti” L. Smith; two grandchildren, Christopher Smith, Colin Smith; and one brother, Andrew C. (Patricia) Chandler.  She was loved by her surviving Fulbright family cousins, Gina Fulbright Powell, and Edward Fulbright and great nephew Evan Chandler.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Donald Camper Jr.
