Funeral services for Dorothy Darlene Walker, 91, Lawrence will be 1:30 p.m., February  1, 2010, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.   Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  She died on Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Dorothy was born October 10, 1918, in Ponca City, OK, the daughter of David B. Ingram and Sylvia A. (Robison) Ingram.

She was married to John W. Walker on July 31, 1937 in Nowata, Ok.  He preceded her in death October 24, 1992.

She was employed by Stokely Van Camp.   She operated Walker’s Trailer Court in Lawrence for over 40 years.

She is survived by a daughter; Billie Donna and husband, Larry Colley, Lawrence; one brother, Thomas Ingram, Fayetteville, AR; one granddaughter, Toni Detherage;  three great grandchildren, Kali, Skyler and Ellie Detherage; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Carl Ingram, Jarl Ingram, and David Ingram; one sister, Bernice Allen and a grandson, Gerald W. Colley.

The family will greet friends from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday, January 31, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Douglas County Visiting Nurses, Rehabilitation and Hospice Care or a charity of donor’s choice and sent in care of the mortuary.
