Dorothy Budke

Graveside services for Dorothy M. Budke, 93, Lawrence will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Memorial Park Cemetery.  She died April 29, 2013 at Brandon Woods at Alvamar.

Dorothy was born October 7, 1919 in Rockport, IL the daughter of Nathan M. and Luella (Walton) Browning.

She was a homemaker who lived in Lawrence since 1953.

Dorothy married Wayne H. Budke on September 8, 1937.  He preceded her in death May 8, 2004.  She was also preceded in death by her only son, Dennis W. Budke, in 1988.

Survivors include nieces, Eldonna Lincoln and Peggy Biggs; nephews, Richard Woolfolk, Mark Browning, and Steven Browning.

The family suggests memorials in her name to the First United Methodist Church of Lawrence and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
