Funeral service for Eldon Vance Fuller, 85, Eudora will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary-Eudora Chapel. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. He died December 23, 2017 at Medicalodges Eudora.
He was born on August 2, 1932 in Phillipsburg, KS the son of Earl N. and Lynda C. (Stufflebean) Fuller.
Eldon attended schools in Douglas County and received his G.E.D. in Oklahoma. He was a veteran, serving in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He worked as a carpenter, truck driver and construction contractor. He served several years as an elder at Lawrence Heights Christian Church and was a member of Refuge Christian Church in Eudora.
He married Erma Bailey on August 29, 1953 in Baldwin City, KS. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include his daughter, Eldona Conklin (Dale) Mansfield, MO, three sons, Victor Eudora, KS, Elmer (Elaine) Saint Peters, MO and Roger (Diane) Newton, Iowa; 13 grandchildren, Michael James, Lindsey, William, Amie, Amek, LarryKeith, Caleb, Nathanael, Andrew, Rachel, Owen, Seth, Brianna and 16 great-grandchildren with two more on the way; two sisters, Evelina “Lena” Warinner (Mark) and Ella Margaret Barnett.
The family will greet friends at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, one hour prior to the service at Warren-McElwain Mortuary- Eudora Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Refuge Christian Church or to a charity of donor’s choice and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
