Eloise Dillahunty Davis

December 16, 1928, Eloise Dillahunty Davis entered this world in Horatio, AR. On October 4, 2024 she departed for her eternal destination to join the matriarch Willie Mae Lowery Dillahunty and the patriarch William (Buster) Dillahunty, sisters, Doris Dillahunty Lindsey, brothers, Cleophus, Wilbert and Charles Dillahunty.

Eloise attended high school in Fort Smith, AR.  There she met and married L.C. Davis.  He was stationed at Fort Chaffee in Ft Smith.  They moved to Lawrence in 1956.  She also owned and operated apartments and a supper club in Junction City, KS until L.C.’s death.

She leaves sisters, Anita Martin, Lawrence, KS, Billie J. Mitchell (Robert), Lecompton, KS, Gloria L. Johnson, Lawrence, KS a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside service for Eloise will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 10,2024 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lawrence.

Family and friends viewing will be held from 5 – 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9,2024 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.

Memorial contributions may be made in Eloise’s name to Douglas County Visiting Nurses Association, Inc and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary, 120 W. 13th Street, Lawrence, KS 66044.
