Graveside service for Emma Jane DeMint, 100, Eudora will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Eudora City Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2026 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence. Emma passed away on April 12, 2026, at Star Living in Lawrence.
She was born May 27, 1925, in Centerville, Iowa the daughter of Dyke and Jenny Thomas.
Emma worked for King Radio and Eudora Nursing Home.
She married Raymond DeMint and he preceded her in death in 1979. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Ramona Jackson.
Survivors include two sons, Robert DeMint of Salina and Mike DeMint of Eudora; granddaughter, Patty Thornton; friends, Linda Bennet Hesket and Maxine Maslanik and Linda Davison; her caregiver Debra Carnagie.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Main Street Scoops and may be sent in care of the Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
