Erin Alane Berg And Mazey June Berg

Celebration of life services for Erin Alane Berg, 36, and her daughter, Mazey June Berg, 3 will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 19, 2017 at First United Methodist Church – West Campus, 867 US-40, Lawrence. Visitation begins at 1 p.m. at the same location. They passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017 in Lawrence the result of a senseless act of domestic violence.

Erin was born July 13, 1981 in Dubuque, IA and her precious daughter Mazey was born April 29, 2014 in Lawrence, KS.

Erin worked for Kizer Cummings Jewelers for 18 years. She was a certified Gemologist. Her last 4 years were spent as a glass artist.

Survivors include her father Chuck Berg and wife Mary of Omaha, Nebraska, mother Kim Thomason and (Dad) Harry Thomason of Topeka, Kansas, brother Adam Berg of Omaha, Nebraska, sister Heather Ruhter (Bryan) of Ashland, Nebraska, their daughters Emily Menzel and Megan Ruhter and brother Jeremy Thomason (Nicole) and their sons Justin and Jacob Thomason, and her perfect love Merritt Henggler, Maryville Missouri. Also surviving are numerous relatives. Erin was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Jean Ross, Imogene Thomason Tally, and William and Barbara Berg.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in their names to The Willow Domestic Violence Center of Lawrence, Kansas or the Lawrence Humane Society and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
