Mass of Christian Burial for Ervin Francis Huslig, 67 and Mary Ann Huslig, 62, Lawrence will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 27, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church . Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. They passed away Monday, April 20, 2015.

Ervin was born August 17, 1947 in Kingman, KS the son of Anton Frank and Louise (Maneth) Huslig.

Mary Ann Huslig was born September 9, 1952 in Hays, KS the daughter of James M. Hart, Sr. and Cecilia (Sack) Hart.

Ervin & Mary Ann were married May 27, 1972 in Pratt, KS.

They moved to Lawrence from Cunningham, KS in July of 1977.

Mary Ann attended Pratt Community Jr. College, Barton County Community College and the University of Kansas.

Ervin was the Head Locksmith and Mary Ann was an Office Specialist in the Comptroller’s Office both working for the University of Kansas.

Ervin was a Past Grand Knight of the counsel #1372 and a 4 th Degree Knights of Columbus in Lawrence and Mary Ann was a past regent of the Daughters of Isabella.

Survivors include their three daughters, Lawanna, Huslig-Hanks, (Scott Hanks) Lawrence, Michelle Huslig, (Troy Lowrance) Lawrence, Donna Foster, Eudora; their one son, Christopher M. Huslig, Eudora; ten grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Philip, Ethan, Christopher, Alexis, Kody, Cayden, Rhiannon, Hailey, Rowan and multiple grand puppies; her mother, Cecilia Hart, Bel Aire, KS; sister, Barbara Hart-Janzing, Bel Aire, KS; and two brothers, Steven Hart, Great Bend, KS, Joseph Hart, Amarillo, TX; his five brothers, Paul, Great Bend, KS, Arthur, Ellinwood, KS, Marcus, Mulvane, KS, Jerome, Ellinwood, KS, Charles, Ellsworth, KS; two sister, Mary Ann Wondra, Great Bend, KS and Helen Schnitker, Kingman, KS. She was preceded in death by her father and brother, James M. Hart Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Lawrence Huslig.

A rosary being recited at 6:30 p.m. and the family will greet friends following the rosary until 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 26 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lawrence.

Memorial contributions may be made in their names to St. John Catholic School or The Knights of Columbus #1372 – for the benefit of people with intellectual disabilities and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
