Ezra Thomas Medlock

Funeral service for Ezra Thomas Medlock, 8 weeks old, Lawrence will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Trinity Episcopal Church in Lawrence. Private family burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. He passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family and friends.

Ezra was born on June 25, 2017, the son of Dylan Thomas & Danielle Marie (Thomas) Medlock. Ezra had a smile and spirit that you could not contain. He was a beam of hope and energy for everyone around him. Ezra will live forever in our hearts.

Survivors include his parents, of Lawrence; maternal grandparents, Arnel and Donna Thomas Jr., Kechi, KS; paternal grandparents, Waletta Medlock, Lawrence, KS and Jon Steavenson, Emporia, KS; Aunt, Sara (Levi) Frikken, Park City, KS; cousins, Alexis and Koda Frikken, Park City, KS; maternal great grandfather, Arnel Thomas, Rosalia, KS. He was preceded in death by his maternal great grandparents, Gerald and Winifred Madden and Millie Thomas and paternal great grandparents, Bud and Mary Medlock.

Memorial contributions may be made in his name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

The family will greet friends at the Cider Gallery following the service.
