Graveside services for Floyd Wesley Silvers, 70, Lawrence will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 23, 2013 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Perry, KS. He died Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
Floyd was born April 13, 1943 in Dexter, KS the son of Allen W. and Georgia Pearl (Holmes) Silvers.
He served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War.
He owned and operated Floyd’s Drain Cleaning from 1988 – 2008.
He married Rita Joann Harris on June 2, 1966 in Blackwell, OK. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include one daughter, Devina Patterson and husband Ron, Meridan, KS; one son, Brian Silvers, Perry, KS; one sister, Sharon Welliver and husband Harold, Edmond, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He enjoyed Hunting, Fishing, and old cars.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Lawrence Humane Society and may be sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
