Frances Cecil

Frances Ila Cecil, 71, Lawrence, KS,  formerly of Abilene, KS, died Monday, November 8, 2010 at the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City.

She was born on September 22, 1939 in Long Beach, California the daughter of Travis Francis and Inez Ila Bell Shields.

Frances came from a military family of many generations.  She was a member of the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

She married Warren Lee Cecil on April 27, 1974.  He preceded her in death on June 7, 1995.

Survivors include one son, Travis Cecil, Lawrence; one sister, Traveen Howlett,  five grandchildren, Brianna, Catherine, Braeden, Gwendolyn, Freedom, all of Lawrence.
