Grant Joseph Caughey

A Visitation for Grant Joseph Caughey, 74, Lawrence, KS (retired US Navy Commander) will be held from 9:00am-11:00am, Monday, July 27, 2026, at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence, KS. A Graveside Inurnment service will be held 1:30pm, Monday, July 27, 2026 at Leavenworth National Military Cemetery. Grant passed away July 15, 2026, at his residence in Lawrence.

Grant was born February 6, 1952, in Chaing Mai, Thailand, the son of Frank and Lois (Parmelee) Caughey.

Grant married Vivian Bradford on July 21, 1973, in Topeka, KS, and she preceded him in death on October 27, 2025.

Survivors include his sons, Matthew Bradford (Brittany) Caughey, Eric Scott (Sarah) Caughey, five grandchildren, Bradford, Charlotte, Vylana, Lydia and Ethan.

Grant was also preceded in death by his parents and his sister Ruth Caughey-Flynn.

Memorial contributions may be made in Grant’s name to the Surviving Family in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
