Graveside Services for Harold “Eddie” Edward Hudson, Jr, 76, Perry will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Lawrence, Kansas. He passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at his home.
Eddie was born on November 8, 1942 in Lawrence, KS, the son of Harold Edward Hudson, Sr. and Margaret Elizabeth (Carr) Hudson.
He married Linda May Bowen on January 18, 1953 in Lecompton, Kansas and they were married for 48 years. She preceded him in death on October 13, 2018.
Eddie graduated from Lecompton High School in 1961 and was a Sheet Metal Worker for Local No.2 for over 25 years before retiring in early 1990. After retiring he became a driver for the car dealerships around Lawrence.
He had a passion for scuba diving, fishing and traveling. He spent the last 8 years as a snowbird living summers in Kansas and winters at his home in Arizona.
Survivors include his daughter, Michelle Williams, (Gary) Perry, son, Harold Hudson III (Christy), Kansas City, Missouri and a sister, Linda May (Frye) Skinner (David) of Vacaville, CA. He had four grandsons, Cole Fowler (Crystal), Tyler Williams, Bowen and Dylan Hudson; and one great-granddaughter, Lilly Fowler. He was preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Marie (Hudson) Foster in 2007 and Marge Elizabeth (Hudson) Gish in 2016.
The family will greet friends from 6:00 ~ 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 4, 2019 at Warren-McElwain Mortuary in Lawrence.
