Hazel Marie Farris

Hazel Marie Farris (95) of Lawrence went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 16, 2014. She was born on October 10, 1919 in Highlandville, MO. She was the daughter of William and Mabel (Preston) Ellingsworth. She enjoyed life and loved playing games, especially bridge where she met so many wonderful people. She was a friend to all. She was very involved in church throughout her life. She loved being with family.

She married Edward H, Farris on November 4, 1940. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward H. Farris, and two brothers and one sister. Survivors include her children: Sandy Farris of Topeka, Rev. Dr. Ed Farris (Roberta) Farris of Topeka, two grandchildren: Jon Farris of Topeka and Andrea (Mauricio) de Oliveira of Brasilia Brazil and four great grandchildren: Nathan Farris, Anthony Farris, Rebeca de Oliveira, and Thiago de Oliveira, and many nieces and nephews.

There will be a visitation on Thursday, November 20 ^th 9:30-10:30 a.m. and funeral services following at 10:30 a.m. Services will be at First Southern Baptist Church Lawrence, KS on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 10:30.

Burial will be in Eudora Cemetery.
